Washington County, Maine is known
as the Sunrise County, since it sees the first sun in the continental
U.S.
Our cottages are
2 and 3 bedroom housekeeping cottages with electricity, hot and
cold running water, showers, kitchens and woodburning stoves. The cottages
also feature screened porches or decks and outdoor fireplaces.
For the winter
enthusiasts there is ice-fishing, crosscountry skiing, snowmobiling
and snowshoeing. Downhill skiing is just a 25 minute drive away.
Hunting in the area
includes white-tail deer, moose by permit, ruffed grouse, partridge,
and woodcock. We sell non-resident hunting and fishing licenses.
